1. Scientific Management of Oil Storage Conditions
In winter, special attention should be paid to antifreeze measures in the oil storage process. Select fuel of appropriate octane rating based on the local lowest temperature to prevent fuel from freezing and affecting flow. After operation, maintain a certain amount of oil in the storage container to reduce condensation and prevent water from freezing and expanding, which could damage the tank. If the equipment is to be idle for an extended period, drain the fuel from the storage container to prevent residual fuel from freezing and causing the tank or pipelines to crack.
2. Equipment Insulation and Protection
Protect the equipment from low temperatures through insulation measures. Wrap insulation cotton or insulation sleeves around the tank, pipelines, and other critical parts of the Mobile refueler to reduce heat loss and maintain the internal temperature of the equipment. Park the equipment in an indoor garage or build a temporary insulated shed to avoid prolonged exposure to cold environments. If outdoor parking is necessary, place a frost-proof mat under the equipment to reduce the impact of low ground temperatures.
3. Strengthen Pipeline Maintenance and Inspection
Pipelines are prone to freezing and cracking in winter and require focused maintenance. Regularly inspect pipelines for aging or damage, and replace any potentially hazardous pipelines promptly. Preheat pipelines appropriately before and after operation; this can be done by starting the equipment and allowing fuel to flow slowly to prevent sudden cooling and freezing. If signs of icing are found in the pipelines, do not force the equipment to start or strike the pipelines; use warm water to slowly thaw them to prevent rupture.
4. Strengthen Equipment Inspection and Protection
In winter, increase the frequency of equipment inspections to prevent the risk of freezing and cracking. Regularly check the valves, joints, and other components of the equipment for flexibility and for any jamming or poor sealing due to low temperatures; check the antifreeze level to ensure the equipment's cooling system (if applicable) is functioning properly at low temperatures; thoroughly inspect the equipment before each operation to ensure there is no freezing or condensation before starting; after operation, promptly clean snow and frost from the equipment surface to prevent melted water from refreezing and damaging the equipment.
