Connecting the diesel transfer tank to the oil pipeline requires rigorous operation to ensure safety and efficiency. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Preliminary inspection and preparation:
Make sure the diesel transport tank is parked and stationary, and close all valves to prevent accidental leakage. Carefully check the oil pipeline, joints, and seals to confirm that there are no damage, aging, or blockage. Prepare tools such as explosion-proof wrenches and sealing tapes, and prepare static grounding clamps to eliminate static electricity hazards. In addition, the interface size of the pipeline and the tank body must be checked to ensure that the pipe diameter and connection method are consistent.
2. Choose the connection method:
If flange connection is used, align the pipeline with the tank flange, place a sealing gasket in the middle, and tighten the bolts 2-3 times in diagonal order to ensure uniform force; when using a quick connector, first clean the interface of oil and impurities, then align the male and female heads and push them in, and hear a "click" sound to confirm that the locking ring is clamped; for hose connection, the oil-resistant hose needs to be put on the interface, and the length of the hose should not be less than 5 cm, and it should be tightened with a hose clamp 2 cm outside the interface. Double hose clamps have better sealing.
3. Static electricity protection treatment:
Connect the static electricity jumper wire, connect the tank to the pipeline, and reliably ground it. The grounding resistance should not exceed 10Ω to prevent static electricity accumulation from causing danger.
4. Check and test after connection:
After completing the connection, first open the tank valve 1/4 turn to observe whether there is oil leakage at the interface. You can also use soapy water to apply it for detection. If there are no bubbles, it means that the seal is good. After confirming that there is no leakage, diesel can be transported normally. Keep the pump pressure stable during transportation to avoid overpressure. After the transportation is completed, close the valve first, then dismantle the pipeline. The remaining diesel must be properly collected in an oil basin and direct discharge is prohibited.
