1. Preparing for Installation
First, confirm that the diesel tank with pump and accessories are complete. Inspect the tank, pump, and piping for damage or deformation, and ensure that seals and connectors are intact. Also, prepare appropriate installation tools, such as wrenches and sealing tape. If the equipment involves electrical components, confirm in advance that the cable specifications meet the requirements to avoid delays due to missing accessories or inappropriate tools. Additionally, understand the environmental requirements of the installation site and ensure that installation procedures comply with relevant safety regulations. If necessary, consult the equipment manual for specific installation parameters.
2. Select a Suitable Location and Secure the Tank
Select a well-ventilated site away from sources of fire and heat. Avoid areas with open flames or equipment prone to sparks. Ensure the site's surface is flat and has a load-bearing capacity to prevent the tank from tilting due to unstable ground. Select a mounting method based on the tank type. If the tank is mobile, check that the roller locking mechanism is secure. If the tank is fixed, securely bolt the tank bracket to the pre-installed ground base to prevent the tank from shaking or shifting during use, ensuring safe operation.
3. Connect the oil pipeline correctly.
First, clean any debris from the connection between the tank's oil outlet and the pump to prevent foreign matter from entering the pipeline and affecting pump operation. When connecting the pipelines, wrap sealing tape around the joints to enhance the seal and prevent diesel leakage. Tightly connect the pump's oil inlet to the tank's oil outlet, and the outlet to the equipment to be supplied. Ensure the pipelines are straight and avoid excessive bends that could block the oil flow. After the connections are complete, gently pull on the pipeline to check for a secure connection. Once there are no loose connections, reroute the pipeline to prevent pressure or scratches from sharp objects.
4. Complete the electrical configuration.
If the diesel tank with pump is an electric pump, connect the power supply according to the equipment's specifications. Ensure the power cable matches the equipment's rated voltage and that the wiring is properly insulated to prevent electrical leakage. Connect the pump's electrical control cable to the corresponding control switch, ensuring the connections are correct to avoid pump failure due to incorrect wiring. If the equipment is equipped with auxiliary electrical components such as a level sensor, they must be installed in the designated locations on the tank according to the instructions. Signal cables must be connected to ensure the electrical components are transmitting data or performing control functions properly.
5. Perform Post-Installation Inspection and Commissioning
After installation, first inspect all connections for proper sealing and check for signs of diesel leakage. Then, perform a no-load commissioning test. Start the pump, observe its operation, listen for any unusual noises, and confirm normal pump rotation. Once no-load commissioning is complete, add a small amount of diesel to the tank and perform a load test to verify that the diesel can be smoothly delivered to the target equipment through the pump and that the supply pressure and flow rate meet requirements. Also, check the functioning of auxiliary functions such as the level display and pressure protection. Any abnormalities should be promptly investigated and adjusted to ensure the overall installation of the diesel tank with pump is satisfactory before commissioning.
