On December 17, 2019, the General Administration of Market Supervision and the National Standards Commission approved the release of the compulsory national standard <Technical Specifications for Recycling and Dismantling of Discarded Motor Vehicles> (GB 22128-2019), which will be implemented from the date of publication.
In order to allow the public to better understand the relevant content, the person in charge of the Market Construction Department of the Ministry of Commerce introduced the background, main principles, main changes, main contents, and implementation time of the standard revision.
The compulsory requirements for the site, equipment, personnel, safety and environmental protection proposed by the standard are necessary and basic conditions for enterprises to carry out the recycling and dismantling of scrapped motor vehicles. For enterprises, it will be implemented from the date of implementation of this standard. Considering that recycling and dismantling enterprises that have obtained qualification certification need to upgrade to meet the relevant requirements of this standard, for these enterprises, the 13th month from the date of implementation of this standard carried out.
