Repeat the rinse cycle until the drained gasoline is free of visible impurities and the sediment is completely removed.
3. Post-Cleaning Inspection and Treatment
After cleaning, carefully inspect the inside of the fuel tank for any residual sediment or scratches. If any residue remains, clean it again with a cleaning brush and gasoline. Check the fuel tank outlet, pipe connections, and other areas to ensure there are no blockages. Also, check that the seals are intact. If any are aged or damaged, replace them promptly. Filter the clean gasoline after draining it and refill it, or simply add fresh gasoline to prevent impurities from entering the tank.
4. Daily Prevention to Reduce Sediment
For daily refueling, choose reputable gas stations and avoid filling with low-quality gasoline to minimize the entry of impurities into the tank. Regularly inspect the fuel tank and clean it regularly based on frequency of use to prevent long-term sediment accumulation. If the vehicle is not used for an extended period, it is recommended to drain the fuel tank or keep it half-full to prevent gasoline deterioration and sediment. Start the vehicle regularly to circulate the gasoline and reduce sediment buildup.
