Powerful Solutions For Business Growth

1. Preparatory Work Before Testing
First, safely transfer the waste oil from the waste oil tank to a compliant container, ensuring the tank is empty to prevent leakage during testing. Close the valve connecting the safety valve to the tank, disconnecting it from other equipment to prevent the testing operation from affecting surrounding systems. Prepare appropriate testing tools, such as pressure testing instruments, explosion-proof wrenches, seal testing equipment, and cleaning cloths. Wear oil-resistant gloves, safety goggles, and other protective equipment, ensuring a well-ventilated and ignition-free operating environment.
2. Thorough Inspection of the Safety Valve's Appearance
Carefully inspect the safety valve body for cracks, deformation, or corrosion. If significant damage is found, assess whether testing is feasible. Check the safety valve's markings to ensure the rated pressure, model, and inspection validity period are clear and complete. Pay special attention to safety valves with blurred or expired markings. Check that the bolts at the connection points are tight, and that the gaskets are not aged, damaged, or detached, ensuring that the basic components are free of obvious potential malfunctions.
3. Conduct Safety Valve Functional Testing
Using pressure testing equipment, slowly apply pressure to the safety valve to simulate a scenario of increased tank pressure. Observe whether the opening pressure of the safety valve meets the design standards. When the pressure reaches the rated opening value, confirm whether the safety valve can automatically open and release pressure in a timely manner. After the pressure drops to the reseating pressure, check whether the safety valve can close smoothly without jamming, delay, or failure to reseating. Record the pressure changes and response status during the valve's operation.
4. Verify Safety Valve Sealing Performance
With the safety valve closed, apply a certain pressure to the valve body using sealing testing equipment or a pressure holding method and maintain it steadily. Observe whether the pressure remains stable without a significant drop. Wipe the sealing surface of the safety valve with a clean cloth to check for oil leakage. If a pressure drop or leakage is found, the safety valve needs to be disassembled to check whether the seals are worn or deformed, or whether there are impurities blocking the valve seat. Clean or replace damaged parts promptly.
5. Complete Post-Testing Work
Safety valves that pass the test must be marked with the test date and pass status, and the inspection record must be updated for traceability. If a safety valve malfunction is detected, such as abnormal opening or closing pressure or poor sealing, it must be repaired or replaced promptly. The repaired safety valve must be retested and only installed after passing the test. Reinstall the safety valve back into the tank, tighten the connecting bolts, and open the relevant valves to restore the tank to operation. Regularly check the safety valve's performance to ensure long-term stable operation.
