Status Of Waste Tire Treatment

Jul 31, 2019 Leave a message

★ Waste tires are harmful solid waste and are called “black pollution” by the industry. Improper disposal can seriously affect human health and endanger the ecological environment.

★ The data shows that in 2017, the amount of used tires in China has exceeded 13 million tons, and the annual growth rate is 6% to 8%. It is estimated that by 2020, the amount of used tires will exceed 20 million tons.

★ The surge in the number of used tires has put new demands on ecological environment, but the current status of waste tire treatment in China is worrying.

★ According to reports, in the industry, all the waste truck and bus tires of all steel tires and natural rubber are treated by means of renovation, production of recycled rubber or rubber powder; The waste passenger car tires of semi-steel tires and synthetic rubbers have flowed into the "earth refinery" workshops, causing irreparable damage to the ecological environment.

★ In order to solve this problem, the Ministry of Science and Technology has included "the technology of efficient utilization of waste passenger car tires and the comprehensive utilization of by-products" in the special project of "Solid Waste Resource Utilization" in 2018. In July of the same year, the Double Star Group and the Southeast University, Beijing University of Technology, China University of Petroleum, Qingdao University of Science and Technology and other nine universities jointly won the bid.

★ In March of this year, at the "Technology Department's major project results of solid waste recycling", the research team announced that they have overcome 17 key technical problems and developed thermal cracking and carbon black regeneration technology and intelligence to fill the global gap chemical equipment, and successfully built the world's first waste tire green ecological recycling intelligent factory in Weinan, achieving zero pollution, zero residue, zero emissions, full utilization of waste tire treatment.
