1. Perform Pre-Operation Safety Checks
Before each use of the trailer tank, a comprehensive inspection of the equipment is required. Pay close attention to the tank's exterior for any deformation, cracks, or signs of corrosion, ensuring the tank structure is intact and undamaged. Check the seals at connection points, including whether the sealing rings at valves and pipe joints are aged or loose, to prevent liquid leakage due to seal failure. Also, check that the towing device is securely connected to the towing vehicle, that the tire pressure is normal, and that the braking system is responsive. Only after confirming all safety components are in good working order can operation begin.
2. Ensure Safe Driving During Transport
When towing the trailer tank, control the driving speed and avoid sudden acceleration, braking, or sharp turns to prevent the tank from swaying due to inertia, which could lead to liquid spillage or equipment imbalance. When driving on bumpy roads, slopes, or narrow sections, slow down and pay attention to the surrounding environment to ensure a safe and clear driving route. During long-distance driving, stop regularly for inspections to check for loose connections on the tank and ensure the tires are in good condition, preventing equipment failure due to prolonged driving. Also, avoid prolonged stops in high-temperature or open-flame areas.
3. Standardize Liquid Storage and Transfer
When filling the trailer tank with liquid, select the appropriate liquid type according to the tank's specifications, avoiding filling with liquids incompatible with the tank material to prevent corrosion damage. Control the flow rate during filling to prevent static electricity caused by rapid liquid impact on the tank, and avoid overfilling to prevent liquid spillage. When transferring liquid, ensure the connecting pipes are secure, and open the valves slowly to prevent a sudden pressure increase due to rapid liquid flow. After the transfer is complete, close all valves promptly and check for any residual leaks.
4. Address Emergency Situations
If a liquid leak is discovered during use, immediately stop operations, move the trailer tank to a safe and well-ventilated area, away from open flames and heat sources, and set up warning signs to prevent unauthorized personnel from approaching. Use appropriate protective equipment based on the characteristics of the leaked liquid. If the leak is large, contact professional personnel for assistance to avoid safety risks from attempting to handle it yourself. In case of equipment failure or traffic accidents, prioritize personnel safety, immediately disconnect the trailer tank from the towing vehicle, take necessary protective measures to prevent liquid leakage and spread, and contact relevant departments for further handling.
