How is the heat dissipation performance of the Fuel cube tank in high temperature environment

Jul 07, 2025 Leave a message

In high temperature environment, the heat dissipation performance of Fuel cube tank is affected by materials, structural design and external conditions, as follows:
1. Material influence
Metal material: Steel, aluminum and other metals have strong thermal conductivity and are easy to absorb ambient heat, but can also quickly transfer heat to the outside world. If heat dissipation fins are designed or thin plates are used, the heat dissipation efficiency can be further improved, which is suitable for scenarios that require active temperature control.
Plastic material: HDPE, LLDPE and other plastics have poor thermal conductivity and can slow down the transfer of external heat into the fuel, but their own heat dissipation is slow. Long-term exposure to the sun can easily soften and deform, increasing the risk of fuel volatilization.
2. Structural design influence
Shape limitation: The surface area and volume of the cube shape are relatively small, and the heat dissipation area is insufficient under the same capacity, which is not conducive to heat dissipation.
Stacking disadvantages: Although modular stacking saves space, it hinders air convection, resulting in heat accumulation in the bottom tank.
Auxiliary design: Some fuel tanks are equipped with top vents and breathing valves to balance the pressure. If the design is unreasonable or blocked, the fuel vapor cannot be discharged, and the heat and pressure continue to rise. The oil tank with reflective coating and heat insulation layer can reflect sunlight and block heat; the bottom overhead design can enhance air circulation and assist heat dissipation.
3. Countermeasures
It is necessary to reduce the risk by storing in the sun, controlling the filling amount (reserving expansion space), and regularly checking the seal and deformation.
Metal oil tanks can be used with temperature control equipment to actively dissipate heat, and plastic oil tanks are more suitable for short-term, low-intensity high-temperature scenarios.
