How to troubleshoot trailer-mounted tank malfunctions

1. Troubleshooting Tank Structure Faults
If corrosion is found on the tank body, first clean the oil and impurities from the corroded area, remove the corrosion layer with a special grinding tool, and check the corrosion depth. If the tank body itself is not damaged, an anti-corrosion coating can be applied for repair; if the corrosion is severe or cracks appear, stop using the tank and have a professional assess whether welding repair or replacement of tank components is necessary. If the tank body is deformed, first check the location and extent of the deformation. Slight deformation can be slowly restored to its original shape using professional straightening tools, avoiding forceful correction that could cause the tank to crack; in case of severe deformation, the damaged part of the tank needs to be replaced to ensure the structural stability of the tank after repair.
2. Troubleshooting Connection and Sealing Faults
When leakage occurs at the connection interface, first close the relevant valves to stop liquid transfer, disassemble the components at the interface, check if the sealing ring is aged or worn, and replace it with a new sealing ring if necessary. When reassembling, ensure that the components are aligned and the bolts are tightened evenly to avoid uneven force affecting the sealing effect. If loose traction connection components are found, stop the vehicle and take safety precautions, use special tools to tighten the loose bolts, traction pins, and other components, and check whether the connection gap is normal. If the components are worn, they need to be replaced in time to ensure that the connection is firm and reliable.
3. Troubleshooting Functional Component Faults
If the liquid level sensor displays abnormally, first disconnect the power supply, disassemble the sensor, clean the impurities and oil stains on the surface, check whether the wiring connection is loose, and test after reconnecting the wiring; if the sensor still does not work properly, a new sensor needs to be replaced. If the oil pump or valve is not operating smoothly, first close the liquid passage, disassemble the components, clean the internal clogged impurities, check whether the internal parts are worn or stuck, reassemble after replacing the damaged parts, and test the operation after assembly to ensure that the liquid can be smoothly transferred.
4. Troubleshooting Driving-Related Faults
If there are problems with the tires, first park the trailer tank stably, check whether the tire pressure is normal, and add or release air to the standard tire pressure; if the tires are excessively worn or damaged, new tires need to be replaced to ensure even force distribution on the tires. When the suspension system vibrates violently, check if the springs, shock absorbers, and other components are aged or broken. Replace damaged parts and adjust the suspension clearance to the appropriate state. If the braking system malfunctions, check for air leaks in the brake lines and inspect the brake pads for wear. Repair any leaks, replace worn brake pads, and test the braking performance to ensure it is responsive and reliable.
